Alta from Deur die Blare understood my idea of how I wanted the flowers to look at my wedding. Using the vases I chose and the atmosphere of the venue, Portland Manor, she created something very special. Her planning and organization on the day was excellent. My wedding bouquet was "Out of this world!" I could not have dreamed of a prettier bouquet and it complemented my dress perfectly. The flowers at the ceremony and in the reception area and on the tables were exactly what I had envisaged. I would recommend Alta to anybody planning an occasion which requires flowers.

Alta was absolutely superb in turning a large, bland marques tent into a wonderful space with her floral creations, both inside and outside the 2000 seater tent. Great blank canvasses and areas were turned into wonderful focal points with bicycles bursting through flowers and crashing down steep rocky paths. Her contribution ensured that the Cape Epic stop in Mossel Bay was a great success. I have used her since and still do on regular basis at several of my businesses and events. She is a rare find, someone whose creativity knows no end and I am fortunate to be able to use her unique talents.

Our venue (Portland Manor in Knysna) recommended that we use Alta to arrange the flowers for our wedding, which was in January this year. Alta went out of her way to get everything just the way we wanted it. We exchanged many many emails, as I live in Cape Town and the wedding was to take place in Knysna. She gave me a range of choice and had very good ideas – at the same time she helped me develop my own ideas. Our wedding was quite unconventional – a medieval banquet and Alta really made it come alive, with silver and copper and beautiful glass (quite apart from the brilliant flowers – which were a mix of indigenous plants and some others, like delphiniums for their deep blue colour).
I would not hesitate to recommend her. She is extremely pleasant to work with and gifted at what she does. She added a sense of great warmth on our wedding day. I had an incredible amount of fun planning with her. For something which is both natural and inspired, but also entirely elegant and controlled, use Alta – she has a real flair for beauty.

What a pleasure it was to have Alta in charge of the decoration for my daughters "farm" wedding. She created the most beautiful bridal bouquet that we dried and are still enjoying. The bridal arch , the corsages, boutonnieres, cake decoration and table arrangements were all done with her distinctive style and are still commented on by our guests. Alta took charge of all the finer details of the wedding so that I as "mother of the bride" could have a stress free and enjoyable time. She understood our needs perfectly and delivered an excellent result.
